At the February foundation board meeting, board members unanimously approved the City of Medford, Jackson Aquatic Center’s request to provide funding for the purchase of 40-50 new life jackets. “Many of our life jackets have simply run their course and served their purpose over the course of the years. With the popularity of swim lessons these days and the safety of our most youngest participant, we appreciate that the Medford Parks and Recreation Foundation was able to fund this need,” shared Sandi Sherman, Recreation Supervisor.
“It’s just the right thing to do, as well as honoring the 60th anniversary of the Jackson Aquatic Center,” foundation board member Joe Brett said. The foundation is please to provide the program with $500 to purchase the life jackets.
