A board member for the Medford Parks & Recreation Foundation will:

  1. Work as a passionate advocate for parks in advancement of the Medford Parks and Recreation Foundation.
  2. Make a commitment of time and/or resources and demonstrate the ability to contribute and/or raise funds. The Medford Parks and Recreation Foundation is a fundraising and advocacy institution.
  3. Regularly attend and actively participate in Board meetings and at least one working committee. Meetings are generally held monthly.
  4. Assist in networking for prospective founders, Board and committee members.
  5. Provide policy oversight, fiscal management, fundraising, and other normal functions, as they relate to the Foundation Board.
  6. Determine projects to be undertaken and strategies for implementation through dialogue with citizens, the Parks and Recreation Department staff, Parks and Recreation Commission and elected officials.
